General Plan – Economic Development Element

Adopted in 2025, the City’s General Plan 2040 is a comprehensive update to the city’s vision for the future and provides a framework to guide the city’s long-term growth and development. This policy document now includes a separate Economic Development Element, located on page 83 of the General Plan above, intended to guide future policy decisions in supporting and strengthening the local economy. This element builds on the city’s Competitive Advantages, Quality of Life, Image and Brand, and focuses on five (5) strategic initiatives:
