Elected 2024, Current Term of Office 2028
Brian Penna, a native of Laguna Beach, California, was born in 1968 and spent his early years in the beach communities of South Orange County. His career began in 1987 as a professional realtor. By 1994, he expanded into the commercial construction field, founding a company in Atlanta, Georgia, that specialized in grocery store construction and refrigeration. After selling the company in 1997, Brian returned to California, established two additional construction companies, and met his future wife, Michelle. They married on January 29, 2000, in Orange, California. The couple eventually moved to the Temecula Valley, where they relocated their family law firm, Penna Coker, APLC. Brian currently serves as the controller of their Murrieta office, with an additional office in Indian Wells, California.
Brian is a passionate advocate for community development and environmental stewardship. Before his election to the council, he led successful fund-raising efforts to restore the Santa Rosa Plateau following a devastating forest fire in Murrieta. His dedication to his local community is further reflected in his five years of volunteer service as Chair of the Architectural Committee at the Jack Nicklaus Bear Creek Country Club.
In addition to his leadership roles, Brian and his wife, Michelle, are committed supporters of charitable organizations, including The Ophelia Project, Dollars for Scholars, Toby’s Horse Rescue, Animal Friends of the Valley, and the ASPCA.
Brian and Michelle are proud parents of six children and grandparents to seven. They moved to Indian Wells in 2021, where they enjoy their community and frequently visit their second home in San Jose del Cabo, BCS, Mexico.
