Dear Indian Wells Residents,
As we kick off the month of love, let’s shower Indian Wells in appreciation! Support your community by dining at your
favorite local restaurant, shopping at our local businesses, enjoying the resort campus, getting some practice swings in at the
Indian Wells Golf Resort or taking part in the unique activities that make our City special.
As you immerse yourself in what you love most about Indian Wells, snap a quick photo! The City would love to feature
your view of Indian Wells in our next newsletter and on the City’s official social media channels. Send your photos to
Community@IndianWells.com.
There are a lot of exciting events and projects to look forward to in the coming months, including:
- Resident Movie Night: Join us for a free showing of 50 First Dates on the greens of the Indian Wells Golf Resort on
February 12. No RSVP is required. Feel free to bring blankets or chairs for more comfortable viewing.
- Strategic Planning Session: The City Council will hold its 2026 Strategic Planning Session on March 17 at 9 a.m.
at the Indian Wells Golf Resort. During this session, we will discuss our citywide goals and establish priorities for
the upcoming Fiscal Year. I encourage you to attend to stay informed on the City’s objectives for the year and to
share your thoughts on the future of Indian Wells.
- Local Road Paving: Design is underway for this year’s Local Road Paving. Select streets will be ready for grind and
overlay construction: North end of Camino del Rey, Reina Court, South end of Indian Wells Road and Fairway east of
Eldorado. Construction is currently anticipated for the late summer.
- Eisenhower Walk of Honor Extension Project: The City and City Council are working to extend the Eisenhower
Walk of Honor at City Hall. As of the January City Council meeting, the project is entering the design phase to add
another stone monument to the memorial.
- Rehabilitation Design of Fred Waring Drive: This summer, the City will be undertaking a significant community
project, the rehabilitation of Fred Waring Drive from Washington Street to Deep Canyon Road. This upgrade will
greatly improve travel comfort and road safety in Indian Wells. The City of Indian Wells will partner with the City of
Palm Desert on this project to save taxpayer money in both communities. Stay tuned for more details as we finalize
our plans for future summer infrastructure improvements.
- Cocun Wellness Resort: City staff and the City Council are currently collaborating with the proposed developer of the
Cocun Wellness Resort. Developments of this nature require careful review to ensure they deliver meaningful amenities and long-term value for Indian Wells residents. A community meeting on this project will be scheduled in the coming months.
Thank you for your continued patience as these projects move forward. We remain committed to enhancing the Indian Wells
experience and spreading the love for our community.
