City Grants Enhance Valley’s Cultural Landscape

If you are a fan of Desert Town Hall lectures, classical music, library programs, and more desert area cultural activities, you should know that your city is also an integral supporter via the city’s Cultural and Promotional Grants Program. In fact, earlier this year Indian Wells City Council awarded grants totaling $415,000 for the 2007/2008 funding cycle to 15 Coachella Valley arts and culture-based organizations (listed below). “The City Council has once again demonstrated its commitment to the arts for the enjoyment of desert residents and the valley's guestswith this generous support,” notes City Management Analyst Susan Weisbart.

The City accepts applications for its Cultural and Promotional Grant Program annually during the months of February through April. Additional information is available on the city's website (www.cityofindianwells.org ) For more information regarding any of the city’s grant programs, please contact Weisbart at (760) 346-2489 ext. 227, sweisbart@cityofindianwells.org.
